PARENTS' CODE OF CONDUCT

  • Parents play the most important role in anything that their child participates in.
  • Your encouragement no matter what can raise your child to new heights just as your negativity or frustration can bring them down to new lows.
  • Let the Coaches coach. During games we encourage all spectators to cheer for and encourage good play on both sides of the ball. Making proper noise is a part of the game. However, spectators are not to coach from the spectators sideline. This only serves to confuse the players and more often than not it contradicts what the coaches are trying to teach.
  • Let the Players play. When a player does something well it is important to give them positive reinforcement. When a player makes a mistake they should get positive reinforcement as well. When a player makes a mistake they usually realize it right away and any negative comments will only serve to discourage the player from trying new things.
  • ALWAYS BE POSITIVE.
  • Kids learn through trial and error. Encourage them to try new things. If they don't succeed applaud their efforts and encourage them to try it again.
  • As parents you spend more time with your children than anyone else. Help them practice at home to learn new skills. Teach them that hard work and an honest effort every day is more important than wins and losses.
  • Let your children establish their own goals and then do everything you can to help them achieve those goals.
  • Do not talk to the referee's before, during, or after the game regarding any calls or decisions. If you have a question or complaint wait until after the game and then talk about it with your child's coach. No matter how sure you are that you are right or that the referee was wrong, any negative comments or abuse directed towards a referee will not change the call and will only serve to show you and our soccer program in a bad light.
  • Be respectful.
  • Enjoy the time spent with your children.
  • Have FUN!!!
