Northbridge Youth Soccer Members,

The Annual General NYSA meeting has been scheduled for Sunday June 13th in the Selectmen’s room of the Northbridge Town Hall starting at 7 pm.  Please see the details below and let me know if anyone has questions or concerns.

4 Board positions are up for election.  If anyone would like to be nominated and considered for any of the 4 positions listed below please send a simple email to Tom Wollen at twollen@woodardcurran.com and he’ll document your request.

Vice-President – our current interim VP Bruce Gay has been nominated and will be running for the 2 yr term position. 

The VP position consist of:

The Vice-President is responsible for assisting the President in recruiting, selecting, and assigning coaches and personnel for responsibilities affecting the operation of the Corporation, i.e. League Coordinators, Equipment Manager, Uniform Manager and Sponsor Manager, assigning representatives to the leagues in which the Corporation participates: and any other positions that are deemed necessary for the effective operation of the Corporation. The Vice-President shall take over the duties of the President when the President is unable to perform those duties.

Registrar – our current Registrar Brian Conroy has been nominated for another 2 year term.

The Registrar position consist of:

Registrar performs all duties incident to the office of Registrar and shall act as Registrar for the Corporation and carry out all related tasks in regard to the Corporation and the Massachusetts Youth Soccer Association. These duties include, but are not limited to, registration of participants (players) each fall and spring season, submission of all applicable forms to the leagues in which the Corporation participates, and development of team rosters by age group.

Treasurer – Our current interim Treasurer Kelly Cofske has been nominated and will be running for the 2 yr term position

The Treasurer position consist of:

The Treasurer has general charge of the financial affairs of the Corporation. The Treasurer shall keep, or cause to be kept, an accurate accounting record of the Corporation. The Treasurer shall submit a financial statement at the Corporation’s Annual Meeting using generally accepted accounting principles. The Treasurer shall have custody of all funds and valuable documents of the Corporation and perform all duties incident to the office of Treasurer.

U8 and Below Coordinator – Our current interim U8 and Below Coordinator Jay Auger has been nominated and will be running for the 2 yr term position.

The U8 and Below Coordinator consist of:

The U8 and Below Coordinator works closely with the League’s President to form teams at the U8 and below levels, coordinate playing fields, team pictures, awards, uniforms, practices, game schedules and run the overall operation at the applicable levels.

All nominations need to be sent to Tom Wollen within 7 days of the Annual Meeting and any position with more than 1 nomination will result in a ballot election on this date. 

All members are encouraged to attend this meeting as the Soccer Board will also vote on any new amendments to our by-laws and or rules.
