MISSION
The Northbridge Youth Soccer Association (NYSA) is dedicated to providing a fun, safe, healthy and competitive soccer environment in which the youth of Northbridge may participate in and develop their soccer skills, to learn proper attitudes towards competition and sportsmanship, to learn the values of teamwork and respect for the rules, self discipline, and the gaining of self confidence gained through trial and error.
NYSA OBJECTIVES AND PHILOSOPHY
In order to fulfill our mission we provide the following objectives and philosophy:
- Provide a place for all children aged 4-18 to play, regardless of ability.
- Provide state and nationally sponsored coaches courses to all our volunteer coaches to improve their knowledge.
- Provide access for all our players to in-town soccer camps as well as information about other local soccer camps.
- Provide access and information to indoor soccer and/or futsal in the winter months.
- Stress having FUN. After all, children play games to have FUN. If they are not having FUN they will not learn and will not want to play.
- Strive to play at the highest possible level. If you are not being challenged then you will not improve to your highest level.
- Provide access to several MAPLE (Massachusetts Premier League) clubs and their programs and camps.
- Provide referee training to those just looking to start becoming a referee or for those looking for better knowledge of the rules and how they are applied.
- Of course, all of this cannot be done without YOU. We are always in need of volunteer coaches and administrators. Step up and be counted on. You'll be glad YOU did!!!
